Enjoy Life - Go to Paris

This card was inspired by the awesome inspiration picture over at the "Time Out Challenge" (further down - isn't that bedding fabulous) and the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
The Eiffel Tower on that one pillow made dig out that lovely Hero Arts background. A very observant DT member noticed the green and blue of the globe on the left reflected by the washi tape and the enamel dots.

Stamps: Hero Arts (background, word tag)

Green Triangles

Today's card features lots of green triangles. I heat embossed them in clear, then watercolored them in different shades of green. From blue-green to very dark green. The sentiment is in German. I recently placed my first order with Create a Smile. Their latest release included this German birthday set. I send quite a few cards to German relatives and friends and even if everyone understands "Happy Birthday" I thought it would be nice to get some sentiments in German. They also carry English sentiments and came out with a cute trio of "birthday" dies. And their shipping is very reasonable. Check out their store here. Oh, I should mention that I paid for my stamps myself and they didn't give me anything for telling you about them. Just thought it might be fun for you to find about a company you might not know yet.

Here is my card. No embellishments since this is a masculine card.

Stamps: Mama Elephant (triangles), Create a Smile (sentiment)

Joyeux Anniversaire, Anita!

Anita from mypapercraftworld is celebrating her birthday today (the 18th) and I would like to wish her a year filled with love, laughter, beauty, fun, friendship, good food and drink, health, strength, and lots of time to create!
She is one of the sweetest people in blogland and always leaves such warm and well written comments. If you are just crawling out from under a big rock and don't know her yet, please take time to visit her blog. You won't regret it because she is also a very inspiring cardmaker!

Oh, you would like to see the card I made for her? My inspiration came from that sweet card of her that we are to CASE over at STAMPloration.

Stamps: Winnie & Walter (sentiment), Lawn Fawn (heart)
Other: Embossing Folder (QuicKutz), Washi Tape

I was inspired by the colors Anita used, the dots, the W&W sentiment, and the hearts.
Inked up selected dots of the embossing folder, spritzed with water, "stamped" on Mixed Media paper, added splatters (some of them shimmer), stamped the heart, added Glossy Accents to it, stamped the sentiment (the happy is embossed), added washi tape to card, adhered panel to card.

This card wants to play at

of course! See graphic above
Check out how the DT and Anita CASEd this sweet card!
ETA: This card was a winner!

and at

Love that technique!

And since you are still here I am showing you a Valentine's card using another one of the panels (because, of course, I had to make several panels using this technique, right?).

Thanks for stopping by!

Susanne

A new feature on my blog!

I am so excited because I figured out how to add social media buttons. If you get this post via email or a reader you have to go directly on my blog to see them (on the right).
I have decided to put all my cards on my Pinterest account to make it easier to look for a specific card. Also I am planning to use my Instagram account to post cards. And Keep In Touch has a facebook page (also not very active so far). Check it out and follow me!

Thank you for your patience! I will let you get back to eating some more chocolate...

Hugs,
Susanne

Asian Bird

Today's card is for The Male Room Challenge #28 "Oriental".
Don't use mulberry paper very often any more... Still like the look, though. Do you even know what mulberry paper is? Raise your hand if you still have some in your stash...

Stamps: Picture Show (bird frame), calligraphy unknown

ETA: This card won Honorable Mention at The Male Room!

And now I have the pleasure to welcome a new follower:

Hettie from Hettiecraft

If you don't know her already, go and visit her blog. Check out her Friday funnies - they always put a grin on my face!
My welcome quote for you, Hettie, is by Lao Tzu to match the asian them of today's card:

Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love.

Flowers on wood background

The Pin Sights Challenge over at Ellen Hudson and Marika's card over at Time Out inspired me to make this:

Stamps: MFT (wood background), Avery Elle (sentiment)
Dies: Ellen Hutson (flowers & leaves), SSS (heart)

Die cut the flowers and leaves (NBUS) from watercolor paper and then watercolored them (to avoid the white edges). Stamped the background (NBUS) and the sentiment. Die cut the little heart, watercolored and applied WoS and foam mounted it.

And now look at this gorgeous inspiration board! Don't you love all that deep red! I was inspired by the red flower bouquet on the top left and by the layout of Marika's card.

Also sending this to Uniko where "Anything Goes" with an optional "Love"  (check!)

and Addicted to CAS #80 where the challenge is "Red"

By the way, the card for my sister (see last post) finally arrived after almost three weeks! I guess the postal workers were exhausted after the holidays and took it very easy... But at least it didn't get lost! Hate when THAT happens!

Thanks for your visit and please come back!

Hugs,
Susanne
