Simon Says Wednesday Challenge (animals) / Our Beautiful World

In the midst of all my busyness I wanted to wish you all a very happy Easter and Spring full of sunshine, love, laughter and lots and lots of delicious chocolate!

Since it has an animal on it I am entering it at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.
The grass was punched out from a sheet that I found in my stash. I must have had some acrylic paint left over from something and not one to waste anything I painted it on a sheet of cardstock! It was the perfect color for grass and added a little more interest IMHO.

I also have a photo for Our Beautiful World. The theme this week is words. When I am on vacation I like to write the name of the place with natural things that I find. That time it was white pebbles of roughly the same size. Oh, I am looking forward to summer!

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge (Happy Birthday) / Our Beautiful World (Eggs)

Hello out there,

I am back with another birthday card for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where they are celebrating 5 years of awesome challenges!

Did you know that I love orange? ;) It's such a happy and warm color! Although on the screen it looks a bit darker than IRL.

And I am also going to enter a photo at Our Beautiful World where the theme this week is eggs. A few years ago I played around and had so much fun dying our hard boiled eggs in different shades of color. Seeing all these colors made me very happy. Still does.

Thank you for stopping by and please come back often!

Have a great week,

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge turns 5!

I really did not want to miss out on congratulating the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge on turning 5! Happy Birthday (and many more...)

I used the Simon Says happy die which I love and layered it a few times to raise it up. I was spritzing a TCW stencil but it didn't come out the way I imagined. This background is actually the stencil used as a stamp with the residual mist as ink. The golden layer is a scrap.

It so happens that several other challenges have stencils as themes so I am sending this over to
Moxie Fab Challenge

Ha, this is rare that a card of mine fits so many challenges!

Have a great week you all,

Stamp: My Sentiments Exactly
Die: Simon Says
Stencil: TCW

Butterfly Challenge #4 / Our Beautiful World

Happy weekend everyone! Hope you all make time to do something enjoyable!

I have a card for the Butterfly Challenge #4  where Mrs. A. would like to see some yellow. It's another photo card...

And then I would also like to enter a photo for the first time at Our Beautiful World where the word is "Bloom". I came across this photo challenge blog thanks to Karen Walker of Random Reflections. I have only admired the different interpretations so far but this week I would like to enter a photo:

I just love the light that shines through this simple white tulip.

Thanks for visiting,
